These Terms and Conditions apply to all agreements between the operator of the "MapMyStays" platform and registered users. By registering for and using the platform, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions as binding.
MapMyStays is an online platform for documenting and visualizing stays in different countries. Users can record personal travel data, analyze it statistically, and optionally share it using a sharing feature.
The operator reserves the right to modify, expand, or discontinue features at any time.
Use of certain features requires registration. Users are required to provide truthful information during registration.
Login credentials must be kept confidential and must not be shared with third parties. The user is responsible for all activities carried out through their account.
Users undertake not to publish any unlawful, offensive, or abusive content or to manipulate the platform technically.
It is prohibited to bypass security mechanisms or perform automated access.
Users must only provide information about themselves that is accurate and up to date and may only upload, publish, or share content, profile information, messages, images, financial entries, planning data, or personal data of third parties if they are entitled to do so.
In collaborative areas such as split expense projects, trip planners, profile interactions, following features, and chats, users must respect the privacy and rights of other participants. In particular, users may not disclose confidential information, use contact data for unauthorized purposes, impersonate other persons, or use the platform for harassment, spam, or other abusive conduct.
Users may voluntarily generate an individual sharing link that allows third parties to access selected content.
The user is solely responsible for deciding with whom this link is shared. The operator accepts no liability for redistribution by third parties.
Sharing can be deactivated at any time.
The platform may provide public or restricted profile functions, following relationships, split expense projects, and trip planning workspaces. By using these features, users acknowledge that relevant profile, project, planning, and communication data may become visible to other authorized users within the respective feature context.
Users are solely responsible for deciding which information they publish in profiles or collaborative workspaces and whom they invite into shared project areas. The operator does not assume liability for disclosures that result from a user's own configuration, invitations, or sharing decisions.
The platform may provide chat functions in project-related or restricted community areas. Users have no claim to the permanent availability, storage, or unaltered retention of chat content.
The operator reserves the right to review reported messages, restrict visibility, mark messages as deleted, remove content, or take further moderation measures if there are indications of violations of these Terms and Conditions, unlawful conduct, abuse, or threats to platform security or other users.
Repeated or serious violations within chats, profiles, following features, trip planners, or split expense workspaces may lead to temporary restrictions, exclusion from individual functions, suspension, or deletion of the account.
The operator strives to ensure the platform is available with as little interruption as possible, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability at all times.
The operator is liable only for intent and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, the operator is liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations.
Liability for indirect damages, data loss, or loss of profit is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Users may delete their account at any time. The operator reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts in the event of violations of these Terms and Conditions.
Information regarding the processing of personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
The operator reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. Registered users will be informed of any material changes.
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the operator.
Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
