About MapMyStays

Travel history, budgets and shared trip costs in one clear workflow.

MapMyStays is built for people who want more than a simple visited-country map. It combines trip planning, stay tracking, analytics, budgets and shared expenses in one place, so travel data stays structured from the first stay to the final settlement.

Projects Plan trips, group stays and keep travel periods clean.
Insights See timelines, yearly patterns, costs and country progress.
Expense Split Track shared spending, private costs, debts and settlements.
Start with structure

Build trips as projects and connect every stay to the right context.

Each trip can be managed as its own project. You can assign stays individually or in bulk, organize future, active and past travel, and keep date ranges synchronized automatically.

That gives you a cleaner foundation for everything that comes later: analytics, budgeting, map filters and shared expense tracking.

See the bigger picture

Turn your stays into a dashboard you can actually learn from.

The dashboard brings together project counts, time per year, travel timelines, country patterns and cost metrics. Instead of scanning raw entries, you get a quick overview of how your travel history evolved.

This makes it easier to understand where your time goes, which countries dominate your travel and how projects compare over time.

Go deeper

Use project-level views to understand the details behind each trip.

Every project can now be explored in more detail with stay lists, project facts, linked split expenses and focused statistics. That makes individual trips much easier to review without losing the bigger context of your overall travel history.

Share travel costs properly

Track group expenses, private spending and settlements without leaving the trip workflow.

Expense Split is built directly into the product, not bolted on from the outside. Shared projects can keep member balances, debt overviews, settlement history and detailed ledgers in one place.

You can also keep private expenses, attach receipt images and open the right split project directly from the trip it belongs to.

Give travel a personal layer

Profiles make travel history feel personal without losing control over privacy.

Users can keep a public or private profile with avatar, bio, points and travel progress. The profile is not just a social card, it also connects naturally with split projects and shared travel activity.

The passport section highlights travel progress in a visual way and gives the product a more personal identity than a pure data dashboard.

Where it is going

The web app is already the foundation for the iOS launch.

MapMyStays is no longer just an experiment around travel data. The current product already covers real workflows for organizing trips, understanding travel history and handling group costs. The next step is bringing that same experience to iPhone.
